Show Us Your BRA! is the biennial three-part fundraising event that benefits The Breast Form Fund. The three parts consist of the Contest, the Auction & Gala, and the Calendar.

The Contest is for artists and non-artists (or “Bratistes” as we call them) who construct three-dimensional art bras from a great variety of materials. At the close of the contest a panel of respected art professionals select the winning bra creations. Winning “Bratistes” receive cash and prizes and their creations are showcased in The Calendar. All submitted bra creations and the new calendar are unveiled at The Auction & Gala where the bra creations are celebrated and auctioned. Show Us Your BRA! is generously sponsored by area businesses, which allows all proceeds from auction and calendar sales to go directly to The Breast Form Fund 501(c)(3).

What started in 1998 and 1999 as in-store exhibitions of art bras at Gazebo, an upscale lingerie store in downtown Northampton, has evolved into the chief fundraising effort benefiting The Breast Form Fund. To date Show Us Your BRA! has auctioned over 700 bra creations, produced seven calendars and helped hundreds of women since 1994 gain a sense of beauty and self-assurance after breast cancer surgery.

ABOUT THE BREAST FORM FUND

The Breast Form Fund was founded in 1994 to offer financial assistance to under insured and uninsured women to purchase post mastectomy prostheses and bras after breast cancer surgery and for years to come. These products help a woman feel and look great. The Breast Form Fund offers assistance to women of all ages and cultural backgrounds who live in Massachusetts. In addition to providing funds for women, The Breast Form Fund's intention is to increase awareness of breast health. In the past, The Breast Form Fund was affiliated with several different non-profit agencies but is now an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that allows tax-deductible donations.
