Among our generous friends, volunteers and supporters, The Breast Form Fund celebrated its seventh Show Us Your BRA! ™ Gala and Auction on October 30, 2010 at the Garden House at Look Park in Florence, Massachusetts. We enjoyed mountains of delicious food prepared by Whole Foods Market, lively music by The Dan Kane Singers, and a specially created “BRAtini” featuring pink Chambord vodka. But it was the bras and their beautiful models that stole the show. The evening’s main attraction was the creative, witty and artistic bra creations made by some of our most talented calendar BRAtistes. Nine exceptional bras were auctioned, live on the runway, with the help our talented auctioneer George Thomas Lewis, Judith Fine, and our beautiful models Diane Tabb, Donna Jensen, Lisa Pighetti, Cheryl Kennedy, Donna McNeight, Pam Roberts, Rosanne Meczywor, Judy Perusse and Kerry Merchant. 28 of this year’s bras were included in the silent auction along with over 25 gift certificates donated by Valley businesses. We presented awards to BRAtistes Chapin Gilmore-Strickland (First Place), Joyce Utting Schutter (Second Place), Shelly Bird (Third Place). Honorable Mention awards went to Pam Roberts, Heather Davis and Susan Zachary. Susan Zachary won The People’s Choice Award for her The BRA-QUE “S.S. Schumacher”. All BRAtistes, past and present, were toasted to honor their talented contributions to The BFF. Gerry L’Heureux shared loving memories of his first wife, Marie, with stories of her strength, sense of humor and joie de vivre throughout her life and during her battle with breast cancer. The Show Us Your BRA! ™ Gala was expertly coordinated by Kathy Nolan of Whimsy who treated us with a Candy Bar to round out our sweet and colorful evening.

With everyone’s support we raised over $30,000 for underserved women in Massachusetts who seek post-mastectomy breast forms and bras. THANK YOU!

Show Us Your BRA! ™ began in 1998 and 1999 as in-store exhibitions of art bras at Gazebo, an upscale lingerie store in Northampton, Massachusetts. The exhibitions evolved into the chief fundraising effort of The Breast Form Fund. The three-part event includes the Contest, the Auction, and the Calendar. All proceeds raised provide post-mastectomy prostheses and bras to underserved women in Massachusetts. To date, Show Us Your BRA! ™ has auctioned more than 750 bra creations, produced nine calendars and raised funds that have helped hundreds of women regain their sense of beauty and self-assurance after breast cancer surgery. During the spring of 2010 The Breast Form Fund joined the ALL4One Alliance to produce, market and sell the 2011 Show Us Your BRA! ™ Calendar nationwide.
The Breast Form Fund was founded in 1994 to offer financial assistance to underserved women to purchase breast prostheses and post-mastectomy bras after breast cancer surgery. The Breast Form Fund offers assistance to women of all ages and cultural backgrounds who live in Massachusetts. In addition to providing funds for women, The Breast Form Fund's intention is to increase awareness of breast health. The Breast Form Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
